There are many different reasons you may be eligible and need to enroll in Medicare.
Most importantly many do not realize most Enrollment Periods have time frames or you could be charge late penalties some for life if you miss the deadline. It’s always best 3 to 6 months prior or as soon as possible to any type of Enrollment Period you start working towards it for a smooth transition.
This is what I do and I can help you each step of the way. You pay no additional cost or pay a fee to me for my help.
Below are some of the eligible enrollment periods I have helped clients with their enrollments.
This is not a full list. There can be exceptions and I have only included limited information for each. When you call we can determine your eligibility and enrollment type for your situation and plan accordingly.
Turning 65 - working or not - Working / on Group Plan - how many employees your employer has will make a difference if you should enroll in Part A only or Part A & B
Not Working - Depending on if you are collecting your Social Security or not will determine if you will need to enroll in Medicare. If you are collecting Social Security they will automatically send you your Medicare card.
Leaving a Group Plan Enrolling in B - It can take a time to get your Part B in place. It is important to plan ahead before leaving the group plan so you have no gap in coverage or late penalties for missing deadlines. Contact 3-6 months ahead to have a smooth transition.
Social Security Disability 24 months - You will receive your Medicare card about 3 months prior to your 25 month. You should contact me as soon as you receive your Medicare card. You will have several options and decisions to make for a smooth transition.
Moved out of Network/Medicare Advantage Plan - If you have moved or know you are moving out of your plans medical network, you will have a Special Enrollment to change plans. Call before or ASAP of a move or 3-6 month prior if you can. You have new options and decisions to make.
MEDICARE/MEDICAID - QMB PLUS & QMB ONLY - YOU CAN MAKE CHANGES THE FIRST THREE QUARTERS OF THE YEAR. KNOW ALL YOUR OPTIONS & PLAN BENEFITS AVAIABLE TO YOU - CALL ME FOR DETAILS
